Our Story
Welcome to Wombat Way Honey Company, a Southern Tablelands beekeeping business focused on quality queens, carefully managed colonies and raw honey.
As a family-owned business established in 2008, we take pride in producing rich, dark honey that is highly sought after and often sells out quickly. Our commitment to quality and exceptional customer service has made us a favorite among beekeepers and honey enthusiasts alike.
Our breeder queens descend directly from Joe Horner genetics. We work with three lines: Caucasian × Carniolian, Russian × Caucasian and Pure Carniolian. All are open-mated in our Carniolian apiary. Nucleus colonies are produced in limited numbers and are available only to pre-approved clients, allowing us to place them with beekeepers who have suitable preparation, apiary conditions and management experience. For approved clients who want to build their knowledge, we offer one-on-one training at your facility, with nuc delivery and setup included.

Our apiary is located in the pristine Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales, where the unique climate and diverse flora create ideal conditions for producing exceptional honey and raising healthy bee colonies.
